Battery Act (BattG) Notes
1. Information on the Battery Ordinance
In connection with the sale of batteries or the delivery of devices that contain batteries, we as a retailer are obliged to inform you of the following:
Batteries must not be disposed of in household waste. You are legally obliged to return used batteries and rechargeable batteries. You can either send them back to us after use or return them free of charge to a designated collection point (e.g. in municipal collection points or in stores).
2. Meaning of the symbols
Batteries are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out garbage can. This symbol indicates that batteries must not be disposed of in household waste. The chemical name of the pollutant is located under the garbage can symbol:
Pb = battery contains lead
Cd = battery contains cadmium
Hg = battery contains mercury
You can also find this information in the documents accompanying the shipment or in the manufacturer's operating instructions.
3. Disposal and return
As an end user, you are legally obliged to return used batteries. You can return used batteries that we have or have had in our range as new batteries free of charge to our shipping warehouse:
Tattoo Goods
Am Galgenberg 44
01257 Dresden
Please ensure that you pay sufficient postage for the batteries when you send them back to us by post.
4. Notes on protecting the environment
By disposing of batteries properly, you are making an important contribution to protecting the environment. Please help us to recycle valuable raw materials and protect the environment from dangerous pollutants.
