Vaseline - 1kg can

A proven skin protection agent that moisturizes the skin and offers protection against dirt and bacteria thanks to the light oil film on the surface. The white vaseline offered here, manufactured according to pharmaceutical, cosmetic guidelines, is particularly suitable for tattooing. The film that forms between the skin and the needle guide when it is applied ensures good gliding properties. This film also protects freshly tattooed areas from getting dirty or mixing tattoo colors which are still to be introduced.

What is petroleum jelly?

Vaseline, also called petrolatum, is a by-product of petroleum distillation, which is cleaned and bleached. It consists for the most part of mineral oils, so-called paraffins. Vaseline is widely used in industry as a lubricant and is used in the manufacture of numerous cosmetic products.

Use also as Tattoo Aftercare ?

We do not recommend Vaseline as a tattoo aftercare product. The advantages that Vaseline offers for protection against dirt and external influences are quickly disadvantageous when it comes to tattoo aftercare. The barrier created by Vaseline on the skin closes the pores on the skin and restricts breathability. This can quickly lead to loss of color and a faded appearance of the tattoo. We therefore recommend the use of specially developed creams and lotions for tattoo aftercare such as products from Tattoo Med, Tattoo Pharma or Pegasus.
