These have been in force since January 4th, 2022 and regulate the approval of chemical substances in tattoo inks or permanent make-up. I AM INK® BLK LNR # 5 - First Generation

Black Liner # 5 a perfectly balanced formulation for lines. Based on the black standard TRUE PIGMENT BLACK. The enormous color intensity of the basic recipe enables a pigment-reduced variant that reduces the risk of blowouts. Blowouts cannot be prevented - but the reduced pigment volume minimizes one of four risk factors without losing color strength.

What is I AM INK® FIRST GENERATION?

With the FIRST GENERATION, I AM INK® presents a bridge between the incompatible. A color that combines the application requirements of the artists with the highest pigment and raw material quality. The FIRST GENERATION is dedicated to the contrasts black and white, without which much in the world of the tattoo would not be possible. Through the choice of pigment, the FIRST GENERATION delivers a black that is almost completely light-absorbing and thus leaves a deep black color impression - without being contaminated with carcinogenic substances such as PAHs or AAs. And a white that, thanks to its crystal structure, achieves such a high optical density that it almost corresponds to ideal white - without having to accept excessive contamination from heavy metals. The highly developed formulation already makes it possible to comply not only with the current ResAP2008_1 but also with the planned, very strict ECHA regulation.

Why another tattoo color series?

The idea stems from the need, in view of the EU-wide tattoo inks regulation planned in 2021, to generate legally compliant but above all convincing products and thus to secure the work equipment of tattooists in the future.
